Restore’s statement of values was developed in consultation with service user members, trustees and staff.
We believe…
- Everyone has talents and abilities, and the capacity to make a valuable contribution to the community.
- People with mental health problems have the right to work and the right to the support they need to become and remain employed.
- The stigma associated with mental health problems damages our whole community and we work to challenge this discrimination.
Recovery
We believe people can recover from the effects of mental illness on their lives. We support people in their recovery by addressing their individual needs; focusing on strengths and skills; enabling them to learn to recover from, and live with, mental health problems; and by providing opportunities to participate in rehabilitation, training and employment.
Collaboration and equality
We believe everyone has talents and abilities, and the capacity to make a valuable contribution to the community. We are committed to employing people who have experienced mental health problems and to ensuring people who use our services are involved in setting priorities and making decisions about the way we work and the things we do.
Inclusion
We believe the stigma associated with mental health problems damages the whole community and we work to challenge this discrimination. We believe people with mental health problems have the right to work and the right to the support they need to become and remain employed.
Quality
We believe in monitoring our service provision, developing our performance, recording our impact and improving our practice. We regularly review our services and encourage a focus on continuous improvement. We are committed to professional integrity, objectivity, fairness and ethical business practices.
Co-operation and partnership
We are not the sole solution for the people who use our services: we are part of a wider health economy in Oxfordshire. We are committed to working with other organisations to improve, develop, and expand services for people with mental health problems in Oxfordshire.
