Our principles

We believe that everyone has talents and abilities, and the capacity to make a valuable contribution to the community. We believe that people with mental health problems have the right to work and the right to the support they need to become and remain employed. We believe that the stigma associated with mental health problems damages the whole community and we work to challenge this discrimination.

Our Services

working hands We run four services. These cover a range of opportunities. Three of these services are therapeutic work rehabilitation services. They are Elder Stubbs Garden Group (based in Oxford), the Beehive (based in Oxford), and RESTORE at Fleet Meadow (based in Didcot). These are land and craft based groups which provide a safe, supportive and work like environment that encourages positive change. We grow and sell organic vegetables, flowers, and plants. We also design and make things out of wood, paper, and clay. These activities provide people with the opportunity to create and to work in a group. Decisions are made together and everyone involved in the projects (staff and service users) contributes ideas and has a say in what is done.

We also run a service called LEaP that provides specific one to one employment and training support. LEaP supports people to undertake work placements, do voluntary work, apply for jobs, and start businesses. LEaP works across Oxfordshire and supports people to think about what work they might want to do, identify their skills, gain new skills, and apply for work. It also provides support for people in work.
