The Elder Stubbs Recovery Group offers a therapeutic work environment that is supportive, creative, purposeful, and fun.
What do we do?
We are based at Elder Stubbs Allotments in Cowley, East Oxford. We offer opportunities to socialise and learn new skills in horticulture, cooking, marketing, woodwork and other crafts. Members decide together what activities they will do.

Our members have been cultivating approximately two acres of mature allotment land since 1997. We have seasonal vegetable gardens, orchards, woodland, stands of willow and driftwood sculpture areas used for quiet contemplation and relaxation. Our shop sells our garden produce and woodwork items.
How often do group members meet?
Elder Stubbs is open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (women only on Thursdays). Lunch is provided. From 3pm to 5pm there is an optional peer support and social group. Members usually attend one or two days a week.

The Elder Stubbs Shop
Our shop is open Monday to Friday, 10am – 3pm. We sell vegetables straight from the allotment that we have grown ourselves, as well as a delicious and inventive array of jams and preserves all made by the group. More about shopping with Restore.
