Our Garden Café Recovery Group offers a therapeutic work environment that is creative, purposeful and fun. The Garden Café is open to the general public and offers a friendly, welcoming atmosphere within the tranquility of our award-winning gardens in Cowley, East Oxford.
What do we do?
Our popular Garden Café is run by the members of the Garden Café Recovery Group. The group provides members with opportunities to learn catering and other skills, gain insight into their strengths and consider positive changes they wish to make. We acknowledge this can be hard work, so regular time is set aside to reflect on how things are going, both as a team and as individuals.
Our shop showcases products made by our therapeutic services including woodwork and print items, ceramics and plants. The Garden Café features exhibitions of art by members of the mental health community and there are special displays for the annual Oxfordshire Artweeks.
How often do group members meet?
The group meets between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Lunch is provided. From 3pm to 5pm there is an optional peer support and social group. Members usually attend one or two days a week.
