Green Fingers

Matthew Kopinski initiated a vegetable exchange table at John Wiley & Sons publishers in Cowley, raising £580 for Restore.

Staff are encouraged to bring in their glut of seeds, plants and vegetables to exchange, whether it’s produce from their gardens and allotments or extraneous/unloved items from delivered vegetable boxes. For those who are less green fingered, they can take home the veg in return for a small donation into the flowerpot on the table, with all proceeds going towards Restore. Funds raised are then matched by the small donations committee.

Matthew says, “The vegetable table is a concept that is easy to rollout to any company to raise funds for Restore, as well as raising awareness of the organisation.

We wanted to give funds to a charity at the heart of which is gardening in all its forms, from productive to healing. I would say to anyone considering fundraising for Restore – just think how close anyone is to needing the services of Restore. Help for Restore will help everyone in the long run.”
