The Garden Café provides people with mental health problems with the opportunity to be supported to run a café. People engage in activities such as kitchen work and/or front of house work, food and hygiene policies, budgeting, sales work, catering and retail skills. There is a team based approach with emphasis on negotiation and problem solving and improved communication skills with peer support.
The team will also provide access to resources on employment and training and works within Restores recovery model.
We are looking for a person with a positive attitude who has understanding and empathy, willingness to learn and a flexible approach to work. The candidate will have good problem solving skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and a friendly disposition.
