Making a difference

We work directly with people experiencing severe mental illness to help them build the confidence and skills they need to progress with their recovery. By running for Restore you will help us keep providing critical support for our members, whether through therapeutic activities such as gardening, woodworking, and cooking in a relaxed and friendly group setting, or through coaching services that help people find jobs and volunteering opportunities and to re-enter their communities.

For the Oxford Half, Its free to enter and there’s no minimum target, but any money you raise for us is much appreciated.

For the Blenheim 7k there is a charge to enter but a discount code is available to get 20% off entrance fee.  Anything you can do to support us in is much appreciated.

Winding through the beautiful streets of historic Oxford, you will begin the race in the city centre before passing through Old Marston village, the River Cherwell and Lady Margaret Hall. Live music and entertainment along the way will keep you motivated, so it is a fun way to make a difference and support us.

#TeamRestore has a strong racing history! Here are a couple of testimonies from people who’ve run for us in previous years.

‘I ran the Oxford Half in 2019 to give something back to Restore. It was a tough run in very difficult conditions, but all worth it, as the highlight of the weekend was meeting fellow Restore runners, and getting to know the team at the charity a bit more.

My time doesn’t matter. I made it round and have met some incredible people along the way – as well as smashing my fundraising target! Thank you to all involved for helping to make this happen.’

We hope you find this information useful, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at fundraising@restore.org.uk if you have any questions.
