Making a difference
We work directly with people experiencing severe mental illness to help them build the confidence and skills they need to progress with their recovery. By running for Restore you will help us keep providing critical support for our members, whether through therapeutic activities such as gardening, woodworking, and cooking in a relaxed and friendly group setting, or through coaching services that help people find jobs and volunteering opportunities and to re-enter their communities.
For the Oxford Half, we’re asking runners to raise £200 in sponsorship, which covers registration costs and helps us support our service users. For the 7k, as we don’t have to pay for charity places it’s up to you how much you raise. Anything you can do to support us is much appreciated.
Oxford Half Marathon
We still have charity places left for this beautiful run through the heart of Oxford. Winding through the beautiful streets of historic Oxford, you will begin the race in the city centre before passing through Old Marston village, the River Cherwell and Lady Margaret Hall. Live music and entertainment along the way will keep you motivated, so it is a fun way to make a difference and support us.
Though the ballot is closed, you can still register to run the Half Marathon for Restore. Registering to run for us is free, but we ask runners to raise at least £200 to help cover costs and support us.
The Blenheim 7k will take place on Sunday 10 October. The race takes place in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace, a World Heritage site. Along with the 7k race there’s also a 4-mile race for wheelchairs and buggies, and a 1-mile race for children.
The Under-15s 1-mile race begins at 10.15am, and the 4-mile and 7k races at 11am.
Why not sign up to raise funds for Restore? There’s no minimum target, but any money you raise for us is much appreciated.

How we’ll support you
We’ll support you before, during, and after the race. Our support will include:
- A fundraising pack with tips and advice to help you smash your fundraising target, including information on setting up your online fundraising account
- A vest to wear on race day
- A runner’s goody bag
- A pasta party on the Friday before the race
- A thank you certificate
- Social media shout outs to help with fundraising
- Lots of gratitude!
