Adults (over 18s) in Oxfordshire with enduring mental health issues.

Our Compass recovery group offers opportunities to socialise, learn new skills, find out about Restore / other partners’ mental health services and engage with other participants in an online setting.

Those that join will have the opportunity to gain insight into their individual strengths and consider positive changes they want to make in moving forward in their own recovery. Creative activities, group interactions and hopefully a bit of fun are features of this online group.

The recovery group meetings are held once a week for 7 weeks and each one lasts for 90 minutes (this includes a 5 minute break). In order to gain the most out of the group, we would expect that you attend all 7 meetings.

Once given a place, the online Compass Recovery group is free to those in Oxfordshire.

  • We recommend you log in at least 5 minutes before the start of each meeting.
  • After a warm welcome we will discuss any group arrangements and the online code of conduct. Everyone will then have the opportunity to participate in a wellbeing check in.
  • Following that we will reflect on the previous week’s meeting and discuss what and how we each did with the home element.
  • A 5 minute break.
  • Following a 5 min break, the theme of the day is introduced ready for the interactive group activity (this may be anything from a quiz to a guest speaker and discussion).
  • After going through the home element for the next meeting, everyone will be given the opportunity to share how they are feeling (check – out) and if able to mention something positive that they are looking forward to doing in the week ahead.

Fill out a Referral Form and a member of our referral team from Restore will contact you.

Entry to the group will involve attending an (informal) online assessment/meeting.
