CANCELLED: CUTE AND CREEPY FELT CRITTERS: RESTORE HALF TERM AT HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP @ Restore
Oct 29 @ 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Please note that this event has now been cancelled:

Create your own furry felt creature to take pride of place on your mantle – or your keys if you fall in love with the little critter and must have it near you at all times!
Join us at Restore for this Halloween craft workshop on Tuesday 29th October and learn how to make your very own critter, just in time for Halloween!
Needle felting is a simple and effective art where you can mould wool to create 3D shapes using a special needle. It’s quite easy to learn, and allows you to be as creative as you dare! The needles used are very sharp so we don’t recommend that children under 12 do the needle felting, instead the workshop will be divided so that younger children can stitch their own felt critter, and older children and adults can needle felt theirs.
A drink and snack are included in the price, all welcome and everything supplied!

Is it even Halloween if you don’t have a pumpkin? Create your own spooky pumpkin design in this carving workshop that yours to take home to display outside or inside. We will be using pumpkin-carving kits to scoop out the squishy innards, cut through the tops, and carve your design, so children will be carefully monitored to make sure there are no accidents.
For younger children there will be paints for you to choose from to decorate your pumpkin.

#GiveADay

It’s a leap year and that means we have one extra day in 2020 – make it count!

This year we are encouraging you to use your extra day for charity.

Consider donating a day’s worth of your wage to Restore, all money raised will fund vital services for our members helping them in their recovery from mental ill-health.

Volunteer to give a day of your time to come to one of our Recovery Groups and help out with diy or gardening to make our facilities the best they can be for our members.

Or if you fancy doing an activity challenge in 2020, think about sponsorship. We’re glad to help you with promoting your giving pages, helping with social media, or with Restore-branded t-shirts, or flyers.

Restore’s Winter Clothing Community Drive @ Restore
Oct 1 @ 2:57 pm – Oct 31 @ 4:00 pm

Winter Clothing Community Drive

Donate your spare warm, winter clothing to help our members.

This winter Restore has an unusual request. We are happily now able to welcome our service users back onsite, but our COVID-19 safety regulations mean that our buildings have to remain extremely ventilated, with doors and windows open at all times. As winter approaches and temperatures fall, we want to keep our 292 members safe, warm and dry. So we’re launching a community drive to gather clean and good quality winter clothing from local businesses, organisations and communities to help us keep our services open to the people who need them.

Throughout October we’ll be accepting donations of winter clothing of all sorts, from hats and gloves to wellies, fleeces, anoraks and coats. We respect our members, and ask that any donations are clean and in excellent condition. Our drive will culminate on 31st October, so that we can distribute the items to our service users across the county before the coldest weather hits. So if you have anything to give, please let us know before then!

If you would like to donate items or discuss this further, please contact a member of our fundraising team at fundraising@restore.org.uk

Thank you for helping us keep our services running this winter.
