Your cycle challenge…
A 295 mile, 4 day bike ride takes us through the beautiful Kent countryside to Dover, before crossing the Channel to Calais. Our route takes us along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling, green fields of northern France, passing the war memorials and cemeteries of the Somme. The pièce de résistance of this cycle challenge will be the final cycle up the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe, following in the tyre tracks of the cycling greats, before watching them cycle the same route the next day in the finale of the Tour de France!
The Do it for Charity London to Brighton Cycle Ride is a mass-participation cycle ride covering the 54 miles from Clapham Common in London to Madeira Drive on Brighton sea front. In 2017 the ride will take place on Sunday 17th September and over 4,000 riders are expected to take part. Why not get a team together and set some goals for 2017!
Starting on Broad Street and running past some of Oxford’s most iconic buildings, join Team Restore and run the fantastic Oxford Half marathon route through the dreaming spires! Previously the event has had up to 10,000 runners on the day. Many will be fundraising for local and national charities, what better way to raise awareness of mental health and raise money for your favorite local charity ;). We have 20 FREE spaces to fill so please do get in touch! Oh and before I forget (the most important part)…there will be a Pasta party for all runners the evening before!
Feeling brave? Challenge yourself and help us raise funds by making an exhilarating 10,000 feet freefall parachute jump. No experience is required and if you raise the minimum amount of sponsorship you will get to jump for FREE! Please get in contact for a free information pack.
We are looking for 40 people to take on the Blenheim 7k fun run on Sunday 29th April to help us celebrate turning 40 years old.
The 7k course is suitable for all ages and abilities. It offers a challenging run for the more experienced, and beautiful surroundings for the beginner or anyone who wants to take a more leisurely pace. There is also a wheelchair and buggy friendly route.
If you would like to be part of the Restore team and take up one of our charity places all we ask in return is for a minimum of £60 sponsorship to be raised and for you to wear one of our t-shits/running vests.
Please get in touch if you need any further information or would like a place: firstname.lastname@example.org
Bike Oxford is a day of rides of 25, 50 and 80 miles starting and finishing at Oxford University Rugby Club on Iffley Road, and taking in the best scenery of Oxford and the surrounding countryside.
In return for your place all we ask is for a minimum of £150 to be raised and for a Restore t-shirt or vest to be warn.
We have charity places available for all 25, 50 and 80 miles rides so if your interested please get in touch, email@example.com
Staff members and volunteers at the Oxfordshire Recovery College will be undertaking a triathlon between Oxford and Abingdon on Saturday 15th September. They are looking to raise funds so that they can offer more places on their courses to people who otherwise might not be able to afford to attend. One place for one day costs £25, unless you are accessing mental health services, in which case, a place is free. They are looking for donations of anything from £5 to £100 to be made to their fundraising page here
Starting at Manzil Way around 8am, Tony Duffin and Megan Ronan will run to Abingdon.
From around 10am, Tony will then cycle back to Oxford with Rich Ronan Liam Corbally with others joining them.
Starting somewhere between 11 and 12, Tony will then kayak from Oxford (Donnington Bridge) to Abingdon with Annie Lawson, Gerard Hoen and Katie de Bertrand
Oxfordshire Recovery College is part of Restore. At the Oxfordshire Recovery College, we believe that learning about our mental health can give us hope for the future, opportunities to make changes, and a larger amount of control over what’s happening to us or our loved ones. Because of this, we provide a wide range of courses all about mental health and wellbeing, and regular one-to-one Individual Learning Plan appointments to help you move forward.
Looking to get fit?
And raise funds for Restore?
We have charity places available for people looking to run Oxford Half Marathon on 7th October 2018. All we ask in return is that you raise over £150 for Restore. We give advice on how to do this, taking into account what suits you and how you wish to promote your run in order to raise as much money as you can. All you need to do is to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange for you to receive an email from the organisers registering you as a runner on behalf of Restore.
We also advise you on how best to fund-raise. It’s not as hard as you might think. On one of our recent charity bike rides, our 8 riders raised over £3,000, which is nearly £400 per rider. But if you raise less than that, fine…don’t worry. But we’d love to raise more…
Go for it…we know you want to!
Our 8 riders (we call them the ‘magnificent eight’) raised just over £3,000 which is equivalent to £375 per rider. This was a marvellous achievement, which we are determined to better in 2019.
Are you interested? You set off from the beautiful Oxfordshire University Rugby Club on either the 25 mile, 50 or 80 mile routes around Oxfordshire. The routes are clearly signposted and there’s no pressure in terms of the pace that you’re required to ride at.
All we ask is that in return for free entry paid by us, you raise at least £250 in sponsorship from your friends and family. We give you advice and support with raising the funds and setting up your fundraising pages.
Please don’t hesitate. It’s a fun way to raise funds for us and a great way for you to get fit.
Give it a go! For more details, please contact email@example.com or call 01865 455822
